Teaching is my passion.​

I quickly discovered this after teaching as a graduate student.  It was my first source of funding, and after that first semester, I kept coming back.  My philosophy when teaching is, "get students to care".  By using real-world examples, by incorporating student suggestions into my teaching style, and by constantly encouraging student involvement, I believe I have done just that within the wide range of classes that I have taught.  These classes have ranged in topic from criminal justice and race to research methods and statistics.  I've received several awards for teaching, and I've continued to pursue new classes and opportunities with which to expand my teaching repertoire.
